Can I register a friend or family member?
Multiple registrations are allowed for some classes. When registering for these classes, you will be prompted for how many spaces you want. For all other courses, each student must create their own account and register with their own profile.

When do classes meet?
Leisure classes offer three terms each year: the fall semester runs from late August through early December; the spring semester runs from mid January through early May; the summer semester runs from early June through late July.
Classes meet for as few as one or as many as ten sessions. Classes meet in the evenings Monday - Thursday and on the weekends. Class days, dates, and times are specified in the course descriptions and printed on email confirmations.

What holidays do Leisure Classes observe?
For Spring 2013, the Leisure Classes office is closed March 29. Specifics about scheduling are included with each course description.

Where do classes meet?
Most classes meet on campus in academic buildings, including LSU's Student Union.
Some classes meet off campus at private businesses, instructors' homes, or rental locations in and around Baton Rouge. Class locations and directions will be noted in the course description and on your confirmation.

Who is eligible to take Leisure Classes?
Leisure Classes welcome people from all communities and of any race, color, sexual orientation, religion, and national or ethnic orientation. Classes are open to people of 18 years old and older, unless otherwise indicated in the course description.

When can I sign up?
Registration opens December 14 and stays open until the first day of the class as long as space remains available. If the minimum enrollment has not been reached 7 days before the start of class, the class will be cancelled. Many classes fill quickly, so we encourage you to register early.

What are your policies for payment of fees?
Full tuition must accompany your registration. Payment may be made by check, money order, cash, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover.

How do I register?
On the internet: You can register for Leisure classes by clicking on the "sign in" link at left. Then click on the "classes" link to browse through our catalog. When you find classes that you want to take, add them to your shopping cart and then complete your order via our secure server.
By mail: Mail your completed registration form with check or money order to: Leisure Classes, P.O. Box 25123 Baton Rouge, LA 70894
By fax (225-578-4329): Fax the completed registration form with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover information, 24 hours every day.
In person: You may register in person. Payment may be made by cash, credit card, check, or money order. The Leisure Class office is located in Room 310 of the LSU Student Union at the intersection of Highland Road and Raphael Semmes.

Can I sign up a friend or family member?
You may pay for a guest to join you in class, but you will need to complete a separate registration for each person. When registering online, each person must have a student profile. If you are registering by mail or fax, complete separate registration forms for each person.

Can I purchase gift certificates?
There are two ways to share the gift of leisure!
eGift Card: Purchase a gift certificate for a dollar amount that can be applied to a class of the recipient's choice at a later date. Recipients will be emailed a redmeption code (valid for one year) which may be used as payment at time of registration. Note: Purchase of an eGift card does not register a student in a specific class or hold a seat in a specific class.

How will I know if I get into a class?
If you register yourself online, you will be able to see whether there is still space available in a class. Once you complete the necessary payment information, you are registered. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration within 24 hours.
Our office will send a class confirmation email to students 7 days before the start of class. If the minimum enrollment has not been met, the class will be cancelled and students will be notified. For this reason, we recommend that you wait until 7 days before start of class to purchase supplies or parking permits.

What happens if a course is full?
If the course you select is full, you may opt to be added to a waiting list. In the event of cancellations, increased class maximums or the opening of an additional section, we will first offer the space(s) to students on the waiting list in the order in which they were added. Please note that instructors will not authorized to make exceptions and available spaces will only be filled with students on the waiting list.

Can a class be cancelled because of low enrollment?
A decision to hold a class, based on the minimum enrollment for that class, will be made 7 days before the start of the class. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, we will notify you by email and issue you a full refund of the class fee.

What is your refund policy?
A refund of the class fee minus a 10% administrative fee will be issued when a written request is received in our office before 12:00 noon 7 days prior to the class start date. After this time, no refunds will be made.

Are your classes handicapped accessible?
LSU Leisure Classes is committed to making its classes accessible whenever possible. For questions about accessibility please call or email our office. If we are not able to accommodate your accessibility needs, we will refund your payment.

Do I need a permit to park?
Classes that meet off campus - NO.
Classes that meet during the weekend - NO.
Classes that meet during the week on campus - YES.
Day Classes (7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
LSU, SU and BRCC students, faculty and staff may park in the zone to which their permit is assigned (identified by number and color).
Leisure Class participants unaffiliated with the University may pick up a class-specific parking permit from the Visitor Registration & Information Center at no additional cost. This permit will allow participants to park in any legal, un-reserved space on campus. As an alternative, metered parking is also available at various locations around campus and costs $1.50 per hour.
Evening Classes (4:30 p.m. - 7 a.m.)
LSU, SU and BRCC students, faculty and staff may park in any legal, un-resesrved space on campus, provided their parking permit is properly displayed.
Leisure Class participants unaffiliated with the University may pick up a class-specific parking permit from the Visitor Registration & Information Center at no additional cost. This permit will allow participants to park in any legal, un-reserved space on campus. As an alternative, metered parking is also available at various locations around campus and costs $1.50 per hour. Metered parking is in effect until 10 p.m.

What happens in case of inclement weather?
For announcements of school closings due to inclement weather, please check our website, call (225) 578-5119, or listen to KLSU 91.1 FM. LSU Leisure Classes will not issue refunds for classes that have been postponed due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control. We will reschedule such classes.

Can I make up missed classes?
Students may not make up absences by attending classes other than their own. If a class meeting is cancelled due to instructor illness or extreme weather, our office will make every effort to schedule a make up date.

We are proud of the quality of our programs. If you are not satisfied with a class, please contact us immediately and we will do everything within our power to address your concerns. We value your input.
